Project Showcase
Hawai`i Carpenters Union members have played an integral role in building Hawai`i's past, present and future. We have staffed projects ranging from the structural framing of the highest office towers to the interiors of the most elegant shopping boutiques. Past projects include the Aloha Stadium, the State Capitol, the University of Hawai`i system, Ford Island Bridge, O`ahu's freeway and highway systems, Ala Moana Center and Pearlridge Center.

Ford Island Bridge. The Ford Island Bridge is 4,700 ft long, 46 ft wide spanning from Pearl Harbor to Ford Island. The bridge is divided into two sections: a fixed portion and a floating movable pontoon portion that can be retracted to allow aircraft carriers and other ships to pass by. It took over two years and $78 million to build, and replaces two ferries. Navy housing is planned for the 450-acre island.
